Things I have learned.

1. It is easier to take the high road, but you lose more friends that way.
   
   
2. The choice to not defend yourself is both liberating and heartbreaking.
   
   
3. Eventually, people notice your talent.
   
   
4. But it's easy to slip into self-doubt when people have spent so long favoring others.
   
   
5. Being cryptic is less fun than it looks.
